Using capital letters in a personal profile – English 1AC

Practise capital letters in a short personal profile without capitalising every important word.

1. Names and sentence beginnings

Start a sentence with a capital letter. Capitalise personal names and place names: Adam, Salma, Rabat, Morocco. Common nouns such as school and student normally stay lower case.

2. Languages and nationality words

Write English, French and Arabic with capital letters. Nationality words also take capitals: Moroccan, British. Days and months do too: Monday, October.

3. The pronoun I

The pronoun I is always a capital, even in the middle of a sentence. Read a profile twice: first for meaning, then for capitals and full stops.
